The Abbott’s starling is a rare species of starling found in the tropical and subtropical moist montane forests of Kenya and Tanzania. It is the smallest of the starlings, measuring only six inches in length. These birds feed on insects and fruits. They are threatened by habitat loss due to the expansion of human settlements and agriculture.
