Strategic leadership changes to accelerate global environmental impact

Everland, a driving force in mobilizing transformative investments into forest communities for sustainable development, is proud to announce key changes to its senior leadership team. The new appointments reflect the company’s commitment to fostering environmental conservation and creating meaningful partnerships between businesses and communities worldwide.

Gerald Prolman, an entrepreneur with over 45 years of experience in the sustainability space, assumes the role of Executive Chairman. Prolman is a visionary and founded Everland in 2017. Since 2009, he’s been at the forefront marketing emission reductions (carbon credits) from community-led REDD+ projects to fund community projects in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

Under his leadership, over the past 36 months, Everland has achieved remarkable success, with $500 million in sales community-centered forest conservation projects across the globe. In his new capacity, Prolman will use his extensive industry knowledge to guide the company to create a positive and lasting impact for communities, climate and nature.

Joshua Tosteson assumes the position of Chief Executive Officer. With a lifelong dedication to sustainability, system transformation, and global prosperity, Tosteson is a seasoned entrepreneur and change agent. He brings deep expertise in supply chain sustainability, food and agriculture, and climate change, with a track record of managing budgets exceeding $35 million and managing over 250 staff worldwide.

Tosteson’s international experience and commitment to ethical conduct fit well into Everland’s vision; in his new role as Chief Executive Officer, he will continue to have a positive and lasting impact on the environment.

Pamela Brazier has been appointed President. Her journey began in Commodity Derivatives at BNP Paribas, later joining Wildlife Works Business Development team. Initially Everland’s Head of Business Development for Europe in 2017, she has led some of the most significant transactions in the voluntary carbon market.

Known for her ability to build strong relationships with buyers, Brazier has played a key role in helping stakeholders understand the market and foster connections with REDD+ projects Everland represents. In her new role she’ll continue to drive company growth while focusing on team development and wellbeing.

Josh McCarron assumes the role of Global Head of Business Development. A self-described “recovering economist,” McCarron spent over a decade in finance and taught Economics at Kingston University, London.

His dedication to environmental preservation brought him to Everland, where he has been instrumental in creating partnerships between companies transitioning to a Net Zero future and communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis and deforestation.

McCarron’s expertise in carbon finance and voluntary carbon markets has played a pivotal role in Everland’s growth, reaching a 10-fold increase in the last three years. McCarron will now lead the global business development efforts, driving impactful partnerships that contribute to Everland’s mission of sustainable development.
