Forest Protection Invests Into Access to Education

Parents living in the Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary REDD+ Project zone help send their children to school through their involvement in forest protection

On January 16th and 17th, the Keo Seima REDD+ project team distributed school materials to students in Keo Seima Hun Sen primary school and O Rona primary schools. The event celebrated the start of the new school terms and phase three of Keo Selma’s REDD+ project implementation. 

During the event, Mi Sinai, Keo Seima’s Deputy District Governor, highlighted the importance of parent participation in sending their children to school and their involvement in forest protection, which is an important part of REDD+’s success in the district.
