Bonobo

Bonobos are a species of great ape found in the Congo Basin. Often mistaken for chimpanzees, Bonobos are smaller, more slender and darker. Like the chimpanzee, Bonobos are the closest extant relative to humans. Bonobos use their knuckles for stability whilst walking and commonly feast on fruits, flowers and honey. These apes are threatened by habitat destruction and illegal poaching for meat.
