Fringe-eared oryx

A subspecies of the East African oryx, the fringe-eared oryx is native to southeastern Kenya and northeastern Tanzania. Their horns are covered in rings and measure four feet in length. They travel in herds of up to 40 individuals and feed on grasses. They are threatened by habitat destruction due to the expansion of human settlements and agriculture.
