These majestic creatures are known for their stunning greenish coloration. They are distributed across tropical and subtropical oceans and are the only herbivorous sea turtle species, predominantly feasting on seagrasses and algae. What’s remarkable is their ability to migrate thousands of miles between feeding and nesting grounds, often returning to the same beach where they were born to lay their eggs. Unfortunately, they face various threats, including habitat destruction and accidental bycatch.
