Also known as the Indian Bison, Gaur are a species of wild cattle endemic to South and Southeast Asia. They are the largest known wild cattle in the world, standing at 1.8 meters tall. They live in small herds in mountain forests and mainly feed on grass and shrubs. Gaurs are threatened by habitat loss and hunting for horns and meat.
