Pileated gibbon

Pileated Gibbons are primates of the gibbon family, living in the tropical forests of Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. They are sexually dimorphic animals as the males have pure black fur, while the females have grey fur with black heads and stomachs. The Pileated Gibbons navigate the forest by swinging on tree branches and can reach speeds of up to 35mph. These agile creatures are threatened by habitat loss due to illegal logging for agricultural expansion and poaching for the wildlife trade.
